ANOINTED FOR EXPLOITS

ISA.61:1-3
 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

MEMORY VERSE:
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.” (Isa.61:1)

Anointing is a supernatural ability to function extraordinarily accomplishing those things you could not do otherwise. When Jesus came into this world, for thirty years He walked the streets of Jerusalem just like any other person. He went into the temple as an ordinary worshiper and listened to all the adulterated messages of the Pharisees without any comment. But on the day of His baptism, the Holy Spirit, descended upon Him in the form of a dove. There and then, He was led into the wilderness where He defeated Satan by the Power of the Spirit.

He did not stop there, He came out of the wilderness, went into the temple as usual but this particular Sabbath, something unusual happened. He declared, "the Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor." Child of God, you need the anointing. You cannot make it without it. When God empowers you, it is not for pride or selfishness. You are anointed to bring deliverance and salvation to your generation. Many believers allow Satan to intimidate and keep them in bondage, even after they have been filled. Beloved, the power to do exploit is inside of you. "Heal the sick and cast out demons" is Jesus’ command. The world is waiting for a generation of Christians who will rise up in the power and Spirit of Elijah to begin to do exploits in the kingdom of God. The time is now, most of the miracles we read about in the new testament were done outdoors in the place of evangelism - reach out to the needy, that is the purpose of the anointing.

TURNING POINT:
You are anointed to bring Deliverance and Salvation to your generation.

PRAYER:
Father, help me to use Your gift awaiting in my life to reach out to my generation.
